Central Bank of Nigeria, Covenant University Sign On To Academix.ng

Calabar:  November 5, 2015, The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Covenant University, Otta, Ogun State have signed on to academix.ng with an agreement to upload CBN’s Journal of Applied Statistics and  an initial seven Journals of Covenant University on Nigeria’s foremost  digital research repository for academics and professionals.

Speaking on the development, CEO, Quest to Reality Ltd, Engr. Iso Bassey noted that the Journal of Applied Statistics covers a broad spectrum of research on the Nigerian economy conducted by the CBN. “The areas covered by the Journal include macro indicators, dollarization, inflation and interest rates in Nigeria, consumer confidence indicators and economic fluctuations in Nigeria among others. This Journal offers our subscribers a veritable source of information about the Nigerian economy, information that is critical to making business decisions”

Speaking on the Covenant University Journals shortly to be featured on academix.ng, Bassey stated that the journals cover research on Information Communication Technology, Business and Social Sciences, Communication, Physical and Life Sciences, Political and International Affairs as well as Language Studies. “Covenant University is one of Nigeria’s foremost private universities and this partnership brings to fore, our commitment towards making research from Nigeria accessible to all.”

These new additions, Bassey noted will increase the positive experience of visitors and subscribers of academix.ng and enhance the quality of the website’s value proposition.

Speaking further, Bassey reiterated that the website supports both Open Access and Fee Access material. He called on Nigerian institutions to partner with academix.ng to take Nigerian research development forward and strengthen the global reputation and positive perception of Nigerian researchers.

Academix.ng is a website dedicated to aggregating high quality Nigerian focused research. It was launched on 1st September, 2015 by Quest to Reality Ltd., an Information Technology consultancy.
