NITDA has warned Nigerians to be aware of unwarranted emails that claim to come from Microsoft Teams.
National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), has passed warning signs to the public to get aware of unwarranted emails with claims that the mail originated from Microsoft Teams.
This public plea was spotted on NITDA’s verified Twitter account.
NITDA warns that the public should get smart, noting that hackers do forward fake emails that show semblance to Microsoft Teams automated message
The email will urge the receiver to “Reply in Teams”, this is a bait that leads users to a phising page where their login deatils get stolen.
Earlier, the CEO/EVC of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) had urged Nigerians to have cybersecurity consiouness, a measure that appears to guarantee the online safety of internet users.
This plea was made during the National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) programme that took place this month.
