These 3 Kenyan Startups are pitching at Founders Showcase 2021 [Founder Institute]

Founder Institute, the world’s largest pre-seed accelerator, will be showcasing some of the graduating companies from its accelerators in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa on Thursday, July 29, 2021.

techbuild.africa commenced its own showcase for these startups from the four aforementioned countries starting with Nigeria, today we would take a trip to Kenya.

The 3 startups pitching at the Founders Showcase 2021 from Kenya are:

Devs Recruit

Founded by Ben Lusigi Kilima in 2020, Devs Recruit is a tech recruitment platform that connects employers and technology professionals for part-time, full time, consulting opportunities and project-based hiring.

Devs Recruit has its focus on recruiting software engineers and other technology professionals in the African continent.

The startup technology company is currently based in Kenya but with operations but with other operations in Tanzania and Uganda.

Devs Recruit developed its platform to vet African Software Engineers, thereby allowing them gain access to high-paying remote work with local and global companies.

“There are close to a million Software Engineers in Africa. Many are talented but with limited opportunities.

We assist companies to plug into their teams the best-vetted software engineering talent available in the continent.”, a statement reads on its website.

Urembo Hub

This platform is passionate about beauty and is bringing in innovative solutions to reinvent the beauty ecosystem and it is built around an e-commerce mobile and web application.

Founded by Fatuma Dabassa, Urembo Hub bridges the gap between consumers and suppliers of beauty products and services in Kenya. Urembo means beauty in Swahili.

“We seek to provide the most convenient way for consumers of beauty products and services to buy and the most convenient platform for suppliers to access the market”, a statement reads on its website.

Also according to its website, Urembo Hub’s vision is to become the first choice for both consumers and suppliers of beauty products in Africa while stating its mission as providing the tools that suppliers and consumers of beauty products need to meet their goals.

Sweet Deals

This platform connects Businesses who wants to offer huge discounts on their products and services to individuals who are interested in the discount.

Sweet Deals was founded by Mutindi Ndambuki.
